Sheryn Regis and girlfriend Mel de Guia recently shared their experience of getting inked by the country’s legendary traditional tattoo artist Apo Whang Od.
In a YouTube vlog, the couple documented their hours-long trip to Buscalan village in Kalinga, where they got matching tattoos on their napes and Whang-Od’s three dots signature on their hands.
“I’m happy, it’s like a dream come true again,” Sheryn said in the vlog about getting her first-ever tattoo and meeting Whang Od.
“A memorable experience with a Legendary Tattoo Artist APO WHANG-OD described as the ‘last’ and oldest mambabatok of the larger Kalinga ethnic group,” wrote Sheryn in an Instagram post, alongside photos of her and Mel getting their tattoos.
Sheryn and Mel have recently been sharing sweet snaps of their trip to Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur on their respective Instagram pages.
The two first made their relationship public in December.
