YouTuber Michelle Dy “embraced” her inner beauty queen, recreating the winning look of newly-crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee.
Following jokes on social media about Dy “winning” this year’s prestigious pageant due to her and Dee’s similar names, the online personality released a vlog of her copying Dee’s look during the coronation night.
Dy said she was entertained by how netizens poked fun at memes of her being “crowned” the newest Miss Universe Philippines, saying congratulatory messages blew up her inbox.
“Hindi po ako ‘yun magkatunog lang po ‘yung pangalan namin,” the beauty vlogger addressed the confusion over her and the beauty queen’s names in the vlog.
“Siyempre happy ako katukayo ko ‘yung nanalo. Ganda ng moment na ‘yun,” said Dy while congratulating her namesake.
“For one day, kahit hindi naman totoo, kahit nagfi-feeling feelingan lang naman ako, ni-claim ko na for one day lang naman,” said Dy.
Dee, meanwhile, elated the beauty vlogger, as well as fans when she commented about a possible collaboration with the latter.
