Content creator Marvin Fojas had this “ground swallow me” moment with Bretman Rock during the Filipino-American vlogger and influencer’s book signing event in Manila.
On TikTok, the content creator shared a video on what went down when he attended Bretman’s “You’re That B*tch” book signing at MOA’s Music Hall last March 5.
“Nakakahiya ang tanga-tanga ko,” said Marvin as he embarrassingly recalled his first-time encounter with Bretman.
According to Marvin, when it was his turn to have a photo op and get his signed book from Bretman, he was surprised that the latter called him by his name.
“Tinawag niya ‘yung name ko Bhie,” Marvin recounted imitating Bretman’s voice.
He continued, “So ako parang nagulat ako tapos parang na-excite ako sobrang saya ko na hindi ko alam gagawin ko”.
“Nung palapit na ako sa kanya, sabi ko Oh my God! You know me,” Marvin said, evidently shocked, with his hands covering his mouth, as seen in the actual video he shared on TikTok.
“So inisip ko baka napanood niya ako sa TikTok ganyan… Assuming?,” said Marvin only to realize later that a sticky note with his name on it was earlier placed in the book for Bretman to sign.
“Nakakahiya, nag-assume ako Bhie. Gusto ko na lang lamunin ako ng stage nung time na ‘yun and hindi na rin ako nakapag small talk sa kanya dahil nahiya na ko bhie,” said Marvin.
Marvin later got a confirmation of his presumption after getting a reply and a follow back from the Youtube star himself.
“Lmfao I’m cackling at your video … don’t worry bhi all that matters is I know Marvin NOW haha,” Bretman said in a message to Marvin.
“So ibig sabihin ‘nung nag-meet kami, nag-assume lang talaga ako ‘nun pero at least ngayon,” Marvin said, flexing that he can now be at peace with it after getting Bretman’s attention.
