Maine Mendoza shared a years-old video greeting she got from Chris Martin of British rock band Coldplay to greet him on his birthday.
The Kapuso star took to Instagram to share a video message of Chris giving her a special shoutout while on a plane ride in 2017.
“Hello, Maine. I’m Chris. How you doin’? Happy new year to you, hope everything’s cool,” said Chris in the video.
“Don’t know why I never posted this but it’s better late than never,” Maine wrote as caption as she greeted Chris who turned 46 years old on Wednesday, March 2 (March 3, Philippine time).
Maine posted the said video on her birthday on Friday (March 3).
“Happy birthday, Chris!!! Thank you for blessing us with your talent and music. I LOVE YOU, @coldplay!!!!!!”, added Maine alongside heart emoji.
Aside from the video greet, Maine received Chris’ signature love button with a handwritten letter which she shared back in an Instagram post in 2017.
“I am so so so so soooo happy!,” Maine wrote as caption, describing them as the “one of the most PRECIOUS gifts I have ever received in my entire life”.
“Grabe, hindi ko keri, I have never felt this special. Lol!
“Chris Martin might not know me at all but daaamn this is definitely #fangirlinggoals.”
Maine said she got the gifts through her friend who had the same flight as the Coldplay frontman.
