After withdrawing from Miss International Planet 2022, Binibining Pilipinas first runner-up Herlene Budol, a.k.a Hipon Girl, continues her journey in pageantry as she sets her eye on another international competition.
The beauty queen and former Wowowin co-host bared her plans of joining the international pageant Miss Grand International in the recent episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.
“Kung ako ang tatanungin Tito Boy, gusto ko ‘yung gusto ng manager ko naman, so, sasali po ako,” said Herlene, saying she wants to fulfill her manager Wilbert Tolentino’s dream for her to conquer the international stage.
Herlene first revealed her plans of eyeing the international crown when she joined Binibining Pilipinas last where she won first runner-up
“Tinupad niya yung pangarap kung magkaroon ng bahay, sasakyan, mapagamot yung lolo ko, pati yung burol ng lola ko, sinagot niya,” Herlene said of Wilbert whom she said was the first to believe in her capabilities and potential.
She continued, “So ‘yung kaligayahan naman po ni Sir Wilbert ‘yung gagawin ko na which is kaligayahan ko rin po ngayon na mapasaya ko naman siya.”
Asked what she will offer to the competition, Herlene responded: “Confidence will be kapal po ng mukha. Kasi ayun po talaga No. 1 puhunan ko sa buhay eh, Tito Boy. Wala po akong kahit anong talent, kapal lang po ng mukha. Bibihira po ‘yun, ‘yung talent na ‘yun,” said Herlene.
Herlene was previously supposed to compete in the Miss International Planet 2022, but decided to withdraw following “pageant debacles”.
