Philippine bet Celeste Cortesi got the full support from her boyfriend Matthew Custodio and her mom Malou during the Miss Universe preliminary competition.
Matthew Custodio, Celeste’s Filipino-British beau who’s part of Philippines’ national football team Azkals, didn’t miss watching the beauty queen donning her swimsuit, national costume, and evening gown looks on the runway on Thursday.
A video shared by ABS-CBN broadcaster Dyan Castillejo on Instagram showed Matthew giving Celeste’s mom a kiss on the cheek.
“Sweet moment,” Dyan wrote in the caption, revealing that it was Matthew and Malou’s first meeting.
She furthered: “Tita Malou flew from Italy and arrived yesterday. Matthew arrived a few hours before the prelims with Benj (Celeste’s bestfriend) from Manila.
Celeste and Mattehew have been together as a couple since August 2020.
Celeste is vying for Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown. The coronation night happens on January 15, 9 a.m. (Philippine time).
