Jean Garcia had fans gushing after sharing a video with her son Kotaru Shimizu.
The veteran actress recently posted a TikTok video of her doing the “Cuff It” dance challenge with her son.
While netizens praised Jean and her son’s dancing skills, others also couldn’t help point out how the two look like K-pop idols.
Fans have been seeing Jean’s resemblance to Red Velvet’s Irene.
Kotaro, on the other hand, had netizens going for a second look after noticing his similarities to Jungkook of BTS, as well as Yeonjun of TXT.
“Madam Irene with Choi Yeonjun,” said a TikTok user.
“Kala ko si Jungkook,” said another.
One also quipped, “Finally Irene and Yeonjun collab”.
The 20-year-old also previously caught the attention of netizens when he attended the GMA’s Thanksgiving Gala with his mom last July.
According to GMA News, Koraro is Jean’s child from her past relationship with a Japanese advertising executive.
Asked if Kotaro has plans on entering showbiz, Jean related to the media outlet:
“Parang wala pa siyang plano e…Actually, mayroon nang inquiries sa kanya and all pero parang hindi pa”.
“Malay mo, magbago ang ihip ng hangin, ‘di ba? Kasi nag-enjoy siya, e. Nag-enjoy siya doon sa party,” the actress added, referring to the Thanksgiving gala.
“Sabi niya, ‘Ay, ganito pala. Ang daming artista, Mama.’ So, nag-enjoy naman siya so we’ll see.”
