Former GirlTrends member Mica Javier took to social media to pay tribute to her late uncle, Danny Javier of Apo Hiking Society.

“Yakap na napakahigpit—mula noon, hanggang ngayon ? my dearest Tito Danny… Thank you for your love and blessing,” Mica wrote in an Instagram post alongside clips of her and Danny from her wedding day, and another from her childhood, where they both share an embrace.

Mica continued, “Thank you for your love and blessing. Thank you for your guidance, wisdom, and for having my back, my family’s back at all times.

“I’m so grateful for the bond we shared and for all our talks and memories, which I will cherish and remember forever. I miss you already. Give mama and lola a big hug for me. I love you so much Tito Dan. Rest easy,” she added.

Mica penned the message to Danny after his remains were cremated at the Heritage Park in Taguig City over the weekend.

It was on October 31 when Danny’s daughter Justine Javier Long announced the passing of her dad in a Facebook post saying he died from “complications due to his prolonged illnesses.” He was 75.

Jim Paredes and Boboy Garrovillo earlier paid tribute to their late friend and fellow Apo Hiking Society member.

“Just feeling the loss of an old faithful friend who knew what love is although sometimes it just doesn’t show. My friend lives on in his music,” wrote Boboy in a Facebook post.

“Danny clowning around during recording years ago. Till we meet again, Bro,” Jim captioned a black and white photo of Danny.
