Our “Typa Gals” are having two shows in Manila for the Asian leg of their Born Pink World Tour.
Global K-pop girl group Blackpink (also stylized as BLACKPINK) announced on October 28 that they are set to hold a two-night concert which will take place at the Philippine Arena on March 25 and 26, 2023.
This will mark the quartet’s second visit to the country following their In Your Area concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in 2019.
While ticketing dates have been revealed, concert promoter Live Nation Philippines has yet to release the ticket prices and seat map.
Tickets will go on sale on November 20, from 10 am onwards.
Fanclub registration for presale tickets will begin from October 29 (2PM) until Oct 31 (2PM) on Weverse.
The fanclub pre-sale happens on November 18, Friday (10AM – 11:59PM), while Live Nation members can avail tickets on November 19, Saturday (10AM – 11 :59PM).
The Pink Venom act kicked off their Born Pink World Tour with two sold-out shows at the KSPO Dome in Seoul last October 15 and 16, before heading to the North American leg of their tour.
Blackpink will stage the largest Asia tour by a female K-pop group next year with stops in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Manila and Singapore.
The group, composed of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, broke records with the release of their highly-anticipated second full-length album Born Pink last September after it debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.
With over two million copies sold, Born Pink the album made Blackpink the first K-pop girl group to become a double-million seller.
The album’s title track Shut Down has also surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify and 200 million music video views on YouTube.
Since its release, the song has ranked in Billboard’s Hot 100 and Global 200 charts for three consecutive weeks, showing Blackpink’s unmatched influence.
After their historic Coachella debut in 2019, the four-piece band under YG Entertainment is also set to make history as the first K-pop act to headline the Summer Time Festival in London, UK in July 2023.
