Just like former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, actor-turned-broadcaster Diego Castro is proudly embracing his new role as a grandparent.
Diego, in an interview with Pep, opened up about being a granddad after his daughter Raffa Castro welcomed her first baby with Joaquin Domagoso, Isko’s son.
“I am a very proud lolo and I am really happy for JD and Raffa,” Diego was quoted as saying in the Pep report.
Diego, who wants to be called “Lolo Pogi’ by his grandchild, also related how it felt to be a first-time lolo.
“Now, I know how my parents felt when they held my children in their arms, an overwhelming feeling of love kaya pala grandparents tend to spoil their apos,” said Diego.
He added, “I will always be here to support Raffa, JD, and my grandson.”
Diego’s statement came after Isko confirmed in an interview with Modern Parenting that he’s a proud lolo.
The former Manila Mayor gushed about being a “lookalike” of his grandson who named after his nickname Scott.
