Lyca Gairanod’s performance at former senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s upcoming campaign event has received mixed reactions from netizens.
The online community aired their sentiments after they spotted The Voice Kids grand champion in the line-up of performers in the UniTeam rally in Las Piñas on Sunday, March 13.
In a poster shared by Las Piñas representative Camille Villar on Facebook, Lyca is set to grace the event with Toni Gonzaga, Silent Sanctuary, Andrew E, Hale and Plethora.
On Twitter, some netizens expressed their dismay over the Lyca’s apperance in the event.
Others, meanwhile, called on others to spare the 17-year-old singer from the “cancel culture”.
Then former child scavenger became the first grand winner of The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014.
