Janella Salvador recently shared how her partner Markus Paterson is a hands-on dad to their son Jude except for this one thing.
In an interview on comedian-host Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog, the young actress related how her life changed since she entered the world of motherhood.
“Dati sobrang tamad ko sa bahay as in ‘yung pag wala akong taping or wala akong work, nakahiga lang ako sa bed tapos hindi ako nag work out, wala talaga, tamad talaga.
“Pero ngayon, nung nagka-anak ako, parang gusto ko maayos lahat. Naging OC ako. I organize every drawer in the house. Tapos sa mga gamit ni Jude OC ako. Kapag magkakalat si Jude ibabalik ko din agad,” said Janella.
Aside from taking care of baby Jude, Janella said she is also in charge of other household chores: “Lahat talaga. Ako lahat actually pa rin. Ako ‘yung naglilista ng mga groceries na kailangan. Super hands-on ako sa bahay ngayon.”
Markus, meanwhile, also looks after baby Jude and feeds him.
While Janella said she can leave baby Jude to Markus’ care, the actress laughingly shared how Markus couldn’t stand changing their son’s diaper.
“Kaya ko naman iwan si Jude sa kanya. Ang hindi niya lang kaya, tinry niya naman in fairness sa kanya, pero hindi niya kayang magpalit ng diaper,” said Janella.
“Nasusuka talaga siya sensitive yung gag reflex niya,” she explained.
“Nakakatawa siya, pag pinagpapalit ko siya ng diaper tas may poopoo maririning ko siya nasa first floor ako, nasa second floor siya guma-ganun talaga siya,” Janella recalled in laughter while mimicking Markus’ reaction.
“Nasusuka siya. Hindi niya kaya yung amoy. (So magtatawag siya) It’s either me or yung kasama namin,” furthered Janella.
Asked about Markus’ relationship with her mom Jenine Desiderio, Janella replied: “They’re super okay.”
“My mom loves him. He loves my mom. Close sila, my mom likes him kasi nakakatawa siya. Mahilig siya magpatawa, kaya natutuwa yung mom ko sa kanya,” she said.
Janella and Markus welcomed baby Jude in October 2020, introducing their firstborn through a vlog in January 2021.
