Miss Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj recently revealed that her first relationship when she was only 16 years old was with a 28-year-old man.
Venus spoke about this experience when she opened this up on her interview with Toni Gonzaga. She explained that her lack of a father figure in life had forced her to turn to romantic relationships to fill a void.
“Wala pa akong alam sa buhay noon, Toni. Parang lang akong – sunod lang sa sasabihin. Masabi lang na you are in a relationship. I don’t know kung ano ba ibig sabihin ng toxic relationship. I don’t know kung paano ba yung dynamics dapat. Am I to submit? Paano ba dapat? No idea at all,” she said.
The beauty queen shared that she was introduced to experiences she should not have gone through at a young age and thought it was love at play.
Her relationship before ended after two years when the man got another woman pregnant.
“At that time, hindi ko alam that there was a void. Now, I can name that as a void when I was younger pero nung nandoon ako hindi ko naman alam na it was called a void – na may kulang. Pakiramdam ko lang gusto ko may kasama sa buhay,” she disclosed.
When asked what was the “major-major” mistake that she has done in her life, Venus said it was compromising her purity.
“That’s something na di ko na mababalikan yun eh, yung mga moments na yun,” she explained.
Even with these challenges, Venus shared that she has found the love that she has been looking for in her life when she found God.
“Mayroon pa bang kulang? Mayroon pa bang wala sa buhay ko ngayon?” she ended.
