Presidential aspirant and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos thanked film director Paul Soriano for joining his caravan alongside his runningmate Sara Duterte.
On Monday, Bongbong posted a selfie pic of him with Sara joined by host Toni Gonzaga’s husband on his Facebook page as he expressed his thanks for the filmmaker’s support.
“Ibang klase ang paninindigan nitong dalawa kong kasama!,” he captioned the photo
The son of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos even quipped: “Salamat Direk Paul sa pagsali sa caravan! Ano ba ang sikreto mo at fresh ka kahit nasa initan?”
Paul is known to have a close relationship with Bongbong who is his and wife Toni Gonzaga’s wedding godfather.
The director is the nephew of Bongbong’s wife, Liza Araneta-Marcos, who has also been associate producer in some of his films directed and produced such as Kid Kulafu and Transit.
To recall, Paul and Toni were accused of historical revisionism in the latter’s interview with Bongbong on her YouTube channel Toni Talks in September, which was part of a special series with politicians running in 2022, including other presidentiables Vice President Leni Robredo and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
The Marcos-Duterte tandem recently held caravans in Metro Manila and other nearby provinces. Bongbong formally announced his alliance with Sara in November for the 2022 elections.
