Former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Sarmiento is committed to spending the rest of his life with fiancée Kris Aquino.
This after a netizen commented on Kris’ Instagram post about dining at a fast food restaurant with Mel in their formal attire, that the newly engaged couple will eventually part ways in the future.
Responding to the now-deleted comment using Kris’ Instagram account, Mel declared his love for Kris and assured netizens that no separation would happen between him and his future wife.
“I said in Bimb’s interview, I will spend the rest of my life with her, kaya yung pag hi hiwalay is not going to happen. I love her very much,” said Mel.
Mel and Kris previously appeared in an interview with the latter’s youngest son to share more about their love story.
“You can really tell he wants to take care of you, me, and kuya. And basically I can tell that when he looks at you his eyes twinkle twinkle. You can feel he genuinely loves you, mom,” said Bimby in a video posted on Kris’ Instagram.
Kris, meanwhile, recently revealed that her wedding with Mel would be “tiny and super private”.
