Ruffa Gutierrez has opened up on the recent health scare of her father, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Ruffa, Eddie’s eldest child with wife Anabelle Rama, revealed that her father has just been cleared of prostate cancer following a successful surgery.
“The weeks leading up to my departure for the U.S. was tough. I experienced a tornado of emotions which I kept exceptionally private,” began Ruffa alongside a photo of her with Eddie.
“This much I can share: Dad had an operation and it was a success. He has been cleared of prostate cancer. Thank you, Lord!??,” she continued.
Ruffa went on to express her gratitude to the doctors and nurses who took care of her dad and those who offered prayers for his recovery.
“He is on the road to a full recovery thanks to your expertise and pag-aalaga. Sa mga nagdasal para kay Dad, maraming salamat. You know who you are.
“Sending LOVE to everyone who’s trying their best to heal from things they don’t discuss. Keep the faith, pray and stay strong. ??,” she added.
Ruffa recently flew to the US where she paid a visit to Manny Pacquiao to express support for his upcoming fight on August 21.
