Ivana Alawi and her sister Mona showed how they would handle bashers in a recently released YouTube vlog where they reacted to mean comments online.
Some of the harsh remarks by netizens were focused on Ivana and Mona’s looks.
“Mukhang pangit ‘to pag walang appearance,” read a netizen’s comment.
Ivana responded saying that she doesn’t really care about her appearance, adding that she only uses minimal makeup.
“Lagi naman akong nagva-vlog ng walang makeup kasi I love myself. Kung napapangitan ka sa akin, okay lang wala akong magagawa sa’yo day. Katulad ngayon ang ginagawa ko lang talaga is cheek tint..Kung ito pangit sayo, okay lang. Wala akong pake talaga.
Mona, for her part, stressed: “Okay lang ako sa ganyang comment. Kasi lahat naman ng tao iba-iba ‘yung opinion. Para sa akin kasi, we are all beauty in our own way, and okay lang kung hindi niyo nakikita yung beauty ko, because God makes no mistakes.
Another netizen commented on Ivana’s way of dressing up, calling her a “bold star”.
“Nagdamit ka pa? Maghubad ka nalang bold star!,” read the comment.
“Ang bold star ay ‘yung nagpapakita ng ano… Ako nagpapakita lang ako ng puwet tsaka ng bra. Naka-panty at bra ako, so hindi ako nag hubad ng panty at bra. Masaya lang ako kapag nagbi-bikini, iba kasi talaga kapag nag-bold ka,” Ivana retorted.
“Hindi lahat bagay sa’yo,” read another comment.
“Kung lahat bagay sa akin day, e ‘di wala nang matitira sa’yo,” said Ivana.
“Just because you try new things doesn’t mean it’s bagay sayo. Pero it’s discovering new things, it’s experiencing new things and there’s nothing wrong with that,” she added.
At the end of the vlog, Ivana and Mona advised netizens to uplift instead of bringing other people down.
“I hope you find true happiness. I hope you find self-love because when you have that, hindi kas maaibaba ng ibang tao. Hindi mo ita-try saktan ang ibang tao,” said Ivana.
