Rabiya Mateo and longtime boyfriend Neil Salvacion are no longer following each other on Instagram, fueling speculations that it really is over between the two.
On Thursday, Neil seemed to have addressed netizens dropping sad emojis under the photo of a cat he posted on his Instagram, as reaction to the latest development between him and Rabiya.
“Guys, I’m just sharing our adorable cat, Chummy, cute niya kasi jan. Kalma lang sa ‘?’ hahah,” said Neil.
A netizen, meanwhile, asked if the cat is owned by Rabiya and Neil.
To which Neil simply replied, “Nope.”
Rabiya earlier revealed in an interview with Boy Abunda that her relationship with Neil is complicated, saying that they will need to talk things out when she returns to the country.
“It’s a complicated situation. We need to talk about things when I go back to the Philippines, but we’re friends. I still try to contact him,” she said.
She is currently in the US and plans to return to the Philippines in July.
Rumors about Neil and Rabiya’s breakup broke out after the former deleted all photos of him with Rabiya on his Instagram account.
After being spotted together in the US, Rabiya and Andre Brouillette both dismissed rumors of a romance, stressing that they are just friends and workmates.
UPDATE: Neil Salvacion has confirmed his breakup with Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo in an Instagram story, saying that they are both “okay, and moving forward”.
