Vice Ganda decided to surprise boyfriend Ion Perez with a PlayStation 5 after the latter suffered an injury from playing badminton.
In a new vlog on his YouTube channel, Vice shared that Ion sprained his ankle during the Holy Week and had to walk around on a crutch.
The It’s Showtime host said that he felt pity for Ion because his activities have become limited during this lockdown.
“Naawa ako. Kasi si Ion siyempre ang buhay lang naman niya mag-bisikleta, o kaya ‘dun sa gym niya mag workout siya kasi nga diba ECQ. ‘Di siya nakakalabas. So ‘yun lang ang happiness niya, magbisikleta o kaya mag badminton kami or mag-workout,” said Vice.
Vice then ordered a PS5 for Ion as a way to help him fight boredom and anxiety since it will take him a while to recover.
“Para hindi siya mabagot. Although hindi naman siya mahilig ‘dun, pero malay mo naman makahiligan niya, tapos mag-enjoy siya. So meron siyang gagawin kahit nakaupo siya, kahit pilay siya,” Vice related.
He added, “Ayoko ng ganun, ‘pag malungkot siya, nalulungkot din ako. Siya ‘yung strength ko eh. As much as possible, I’ll always choose not to be sad. Kahit maraming nangyayari na nakakalungkot, pipilitin kong maging positive.”
“Thank you babe,” a happy and excited Ion told Vice Ganda after he received the gift.
