Gabbi Garcia recently revealed giving best friend Julia Barretto a heads-up about her working with the latter’s ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia in the upcoming Unbreak My Heart series.
The Kapuso actress shared during an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda why she phoned Julia upon learning she’ll be paired with the actor in the said project.
“When the project was mentioned to me, I called her. I also called her before I left for Europe.
“Siguro values ko lang din as a woman and as her friend. I called her in respect, delicadeza lang for me na, ‘oh I’m gonna be working with Josh for this project,” said Gabbi.
Gabbi recalled Julia laughing off the matter during their phone call, saying she didn’t have to tell her about it.
“Natawa pa nga siya na parang, ‘Oh my God Gabbi you don’t have to call me. Sabi niya sa ‘kin, ‘you don’t have to call me, you don’t have to even tell me, just go,” Gabbi quoted Julia as saying.
“‘Wala lang’ sabi ko, ‘I just want to let you know para walang gulatan’.”
Gabbi and Julia have been friends since they were in high school. They both went to St. Paul’s College in Pasig City.
Meanwhile, teasers of the upcoming series that also stars Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap showed intimate scenes between Gabbi and Joshua.
Directed by Emman Quindo Palo and Dolly Dulu, Unbreak My Heart premiers on May 29.
