Kim Chiu celebrated her birthday this year differently after her older sister Lakam got hospitalized.
The actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to share photos of her spending her 33rd birthday at the hospital although not disclosing her sister’s condition.
“Today is different. I wish it were different,” began Kim in the caption.
Kim proceeded to thank her well-wishers and offered her apologies as she could not respond to them following the unfortunate situation.
“Before today ends, I want to say thank you for all your greetings and well wishes. Thank you for the flowers, cakes, and meaningful birthday messages you sent here online and personally. I’m sorry I couldn’t answer all your messages. I appreciate you all so much. Salamat po,” wrote Kim.
Kim then asked healing prayers for Lakam saying her sister’s recovery is all that she wishes for on her birthday.
“Hihingin man akong regalo sa inyo ngayon yun ay prayers para sa ate Lakam ko. Everything happened in a snap of a finger. She is my strength, and now the word strength becomes blurry. Please pray for her recovery,” she said.
