Hit talk show Face To Face is making a comeback with a new host.

Following the confirmation that the revived show, originally hosted by Amy Perez will return on TV, TV5  network announced Karla Estrada as its new host over the weekend.

Face2Face is set to premiere on May 1 with new episodes from Monday to Friday at 11 a.m.

“Unresolved issues? Sasamahan ka ni Karla Estrada na solusyunan ‘yan!,” read TV5’s announcement.

“Abangan siya sa pagbabalik ng paborito nating TV5 program na #Face2Face,” it added.

Stand-up comedian Alex Calleja will also be joining the former Magandang Buhay host as a co-host in the said show.

First aired in 2010, Face to Face was originally hosted by Amy Perez a.k.a. Tyang Amy (2010 to 2012). She was replaced by Gelli de Belen (2012-2013).

The show features two arguing parties who engage in a confrontation and get advice from the Trio Tagapayo to try to resolve the guests’ problems.

Meanwhile, “Tyang Amy ” dismissed rumors she turned down the offer to host the show once again, saying she’s happy and content with her hosting job in Its Showtime.

“Hindi naman sa ayaw. Nakakahiya lang sa ABS-CBN kasi if aalis ako kasi never naman ako nawalan ng show kahit nagkaroon ng pandemic at nawalan kami ng franchise,” she said in interview with Pep.

“Hindi naman ako pinabayaan ng ABS-CBN kaya sobrang thankful ako sa kanila.

“Wala naman akong exclusive contract but I respect and value the fact na never akong nawalan ng show kaya super thankful ako.

“Parang happy and contented na ako kung nasaan ako now, so parang I don’t want to shake pa the boat. Nakakahiya.

“And since nagawa ko na ang Face to Face, baka it’s time para iba naman ang gumawa at baka may offer sila na ibang flavor.”
