Pokwang confessed she initially lied about the reason she and ex-partner Lee O’Brian broke up, hoping he could still win her and their daughter back.
To recall, Pokwang mentioned in a previous interview that no money or third party was involved in their separation.
But during her recent interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Pokwang got all emotional as she finally opened up about her failed relationship with Lee.
“Kahit ang sakit-sakit na sa akin. Kailangan kong magsinungaling kasi umaasa ako na aayusin pa niya, magkakaayos pa kami,” Pokwang said in tears.
Recently, Pokwang has been addressing negative comments on her breakup with Lee, revealing that she got tired of being the sole provider of their family.
The comedienne-actress also slammed Lee for the lack of child support for their daughter Malia for five years.
“Parang nawala na yung respeto,” disclosed Pokwang to TV host Boy Abunda when asked the real reason behind their split.
Pokwang detailed that they had a confrontation about their joint business, although prior to that she and Lee had been avoiding each other in the house as if they didn’t existed to each other.
“Nagsasalubong kami sa hagdan, parang wala. Parang nabalewala lahat yung mga isinacrifice ko. Yung pagtatanggol ko sa kanya sa pamilya ko,” she shared.
Pokwang also felt that Lee never loved her when they were still together, noting how he never surprised her on special occasions and how he seemed to have taken for granted all her sacrifices.
“Feeling ko, hindi niya ako minahal talaga. Nagkaanak lang kami pero feeling ko dahil nandiyan na ‘yan.
“Kaya ako nasasaktan kasi sayang lahat. Sayang lahat yung mga pagtatakip ko. Sayang yung lahat ng paglaban ko para sa yo,” she addressed Lee.
“Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, wala akong natatanggap na bulaklak. Hindi sa nagiging demanding ako. Nagtatanong lang ako.”
Pokwang said she decided to kick Lee out of the house but has been giving signals for him to fix their relationship for the sake of daughter.
She also admitted still loving Lee despite all his shortcomings, but has now given up on the chance of them getting back together after the latter made no efforts and is apparently now in a new relationship.
“Mahal ko siya. Sa totoo lang, mahal ko siya kaya nagawa kong magsinungaling, pagtakpan siya, dahil umaasa ako na magkakabalikan pa kami.”
Pokwang and Lee have been separated since November 2021, but the former only disclosed it in an interview in July 2022 initially saying that they ended things on good terms.
