Vice Ganda spoke up after netizens called him out for allegedly disrespecting co-host Karylle in It’s Showtime’s Thursday episode.
A clip of Vice Ganda’s exchange with Karylle made rounds online as the Unkabogable star’s banter towards the latter didn’t sit well with netizens.
In the said clip, Karylle brought up the time when Vhong Navarro rehearsed a song only for Vice Ganda to let someone else sing it.
“Anong problema natin, Karylle?,” said Vice Ganda.
Karylle replied back: “Natatawa lang kami kasi nga ni-practice daw niya (Vhong)”.
“Oh edi sana kinanta mo,” Vice told Karylle.
Vice’s remarks, however, drew ire from the viewers, as netizens slammed him for his alleged rude and disrespectful behavior towards Karylle. Some also called for better treatment for the singer-host.
Following the backlash, Vice took to Twitter Thursday night to acknowledge his misdeed and vowed to make up for it.
In a tweet on Friday, Vice Ganda clarified that he already apologized to Karylle over the matter and that is well between them.
“Magkakasama kami ni K at Tyang and Anne sa dressing room. Di daw sya na-offend when i asked her. But I still apologized,” shared Vice. .
