Moira Dela Torre shut down a netizen who made an unsolicited comment about childless women.
“Khit anong ganda ng isang tao, pag hindi mag kaanak,” read the netizen’s comment in a recent TikTok video of Moira shared on her Facebook page.
The singer-songwriter didn’t let the netizen’s comment pass as she listed “options” why one decides to not have kids.
“Kahit anong ganda ng isang tao, pag (hindi) mag kaanak……maganda pa rin / hindi pa tamang oras / wala sa tamang tao / choice nila yon/ wala kang pakialam,” said Moria.
The Babalik Sa’yo singer also lectured the netizen to refrain from putting down a woman’s value just because she cannot bear a child.
“Pangarap ko din maging nanay balang araw, pero marami tayong kayang gawin bilang babae hindi lang pagaanak kaya itigil mo yang pagsukat ng halaga ng mga babae sa kung kaya niya mag-anak o hinde hindi po maganda yan.”
Moira is separated from her husband, fellow singer-songwriter Jason Hernandez.
Back in May, Moira and Jason shared a joint statement announcing their split, with the latter admitting that he had been unfaithful to his wife during their marriage.
