Barbie finally spoke up on the past rumor that romantically linked her to Daniel Padilla.
The actress addressed the controversy which sparked in January this year after she was spotted at Daniel’s mom Karla Estrada’s house, in a YouTube vlog where she reacted to controversial rumors about her.
“Ngayon ko lang ata sasagutin ‘to kasi nanahimik talaga ako eh. Nung time na ‘yun, nung nangyari ‘yung chismis na ‘yon, syempre nahiya ako unang-una kay Kath, kasi anong iisipin niya, ganito ganyan,” said Barbie while referring to Daniel’s longtime girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
Barbie went on to explain that went to Karla’s residence as she’s good friends with her as well as her daughter Magui Planas.
According to Barbie, she had just broken up with ex-boyfriend Diego Loyzaga at the time, so she paid Karla a visit for some motherly advice on her failed relationship.
“Pumunta ako kay Tita Karla kasi wala si Mama dito. Ayoko kasi na pag kaka-break ko lang, emotional ako, pupunta ako ng gimikan, iinom — hindi ganun,” said Barbie.
“Parang lalapit ako dun sa mom talaga mag-advice. Para fair yung advice, si Tita Karla, kasi kilala niya din si Diego parang anak-anakan din niya si Diego,” she added.
Barbie also clarified that Daniel wasn’t even at home when she visited Karla’s house.
“So for me, ‘Talaga ba?’ Kung may gagawin akong masama, nandun yung Beks Batallion, nasa vlog pa ako. Ang bobo ko naman. So, wala, walang truth yun,” stated Barbie.
“And nirerespeto ko kung ano meron si Kath and DJ. Sa lahat naman ng couples nire-respect ko yun.”
The actress also dismissed rumors that “Daniel comforted and hugged you while you were crying over Diego”.
“Saan galing yun? No, not true! Wala ako ma-explain kasi ngayon ko lang nalaman yung about this tsismis. Pero hindi totoo,” she stressed.
Daniel previously thanked KathNiel fans for their support and advised them to disregard the rumors which he called “nonsense and irrelevant”.
