John Lloyd Cruz is very much appreciative of the role Derek Ramsay plays in the life of his son Elias.
Comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz related this in a YouTube vlog where he talked about the recent conversation he had with John Lloyd.
“Sabi ko, ‘Buti okay kayo ni Ellen sa bata.’ Sabi niya, ‘Oo naman, kapag gusto ko naman hiramin yung anak ko, nahihiram ko naman,’” said John Lloyd who’s on a co-parenting setup with former wife Ellen Adarna.
John Lloyd then expressed appreciation for Derek’s relationship with his unico hijo.
“Maganda rin na nandoon si Derek kasi naiintindihan ako ni Derek bilang tatay din siya.
“’Ang [ganda] ng ginagawa ni Derek para sa anak ko. Four years old pa lang [si Elias] pero parang matured na. Kung hindi ganun si Derek, hindi ko alam kung anong ugali ngayon ni Elias,” Ogie quoted John Lloyd as saying.
John Lloyd also reiterated that there is no bad blood between him and ex-partner Ellen, who’s now the wife of Derek.
Elias served as the ringbearer in Derek and Ellen’s wedding last November 2021.
Derek, who’s fondly called by Elias as Papa D, would usually share his bonding moments with his stepson on social media.
