Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Bernardo is here to remind us that having imperfections is completely normal.
Samantha recently took on the “no filter challenge” on Instagram where she gamely flaunted her bare-faced skin.
According to the beauty queen, she used to conceal her freckles and pimple marks “because they were “deemed not beautiful and a flaw.”
Despite living in the digital age, Samantha hopes one could learn to embrace their own skin.
“In a world where LIKES seems like currency and FILTER seems normal, let’s make it a trend to show our real selves as much as possible.
“Behind every Instagram worthy photos, THIS IS ME and THIS IS MY REALITY,” said Samantha about her zero makeup look.
Samantha was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2020 and represented the country at the international pageant in Thailand where she placed 1st Runner-Up.
She later joined Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 and was hailed Third Big Placer.
