Mariel Padilla took to social media to express her gratitude to the Arroyos for treating her family to a vacation in Balesin Island.
In an Instagram post, Mariel revealed that the trip to the exclusive resort in Quezon was former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and husband Atty. Mike Arroyo’s gift to her husband, Robin Padilla, after winning as senator in the national elections.
“We had an unforgettable vacation with the Arroyos. Sir FG and Madame PGMA’s treat for Robin because he won,” wrote Mariel alongside a photo of her, Robin, their two daughters, and some family members joined by the Arroyo couple.
“Baliktad because kami ang nagpapasalamat sa kanila. Big big help in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” Mariel stated while sharing the Arroyos were the ones who helped organize rallies and meetings for Robin during the campaign season because they had “no means”.
“They did all that with nothing in return (;) they just believe and want to help Robin out,” added Mariel.
The TV host continued to shower words of appreciation on the Arroyos, reiterating how they are grateful for their help.
“Super nilang bait, super down to earth ng buong pamilya. Akala mo nakaka-intimidate pero lahat sila as in lahat sila super bait! Most important is the wisdom they shared and continue to share with us. We are so grateful!”
Robin emerged with the most number of votes in the senatorial race last May 2022 elections.
He took his oath of office at the Malacañang Palace on June 16.
