Comedienne Herlene Budol, ak.a. Hipon Girl, is nothing but grateful after Karen Davila gave her the earnings from their previous vlog on the broadcast journalist’s Youtube channel.
On social media, Herlene shared photos of her together with Davila and along with a cash deposit slip pic, revealing that she received P100,000 cash from he latter.
“Isang malaking karangalan po uli yung nag-congratulate si Mam Karen Davila sa pagpasok ko sa Binibining Pilipinas 2022 at eto pa ang surpresa nya sa akin mga KaHipon at hanggang ngayon walang tigil iyak ko,” wrote Herlene.
Davila released her vlog with Herlene last April 2 where the latter first revealed that she’s joining the Bilipinas Pilinas pageant and talked about her plans of finding a new home for her family.
Touched by Herlene’s hard work and love for her family, Davila decided to share the vlog earnings to the former Wowowin co-host.
“It’s so easy to love you,Herlene, kasi napakabuti ng puso mo. God will reward your faithfulness and love for your family! I am here for you hoping kahit papaano makatulong ang proceeds ng vlog sa plano mong lilipatan,” Davila commented in a previous Instagram post of Herlene.
Herlene expressed gratitude to Davila, telling her how the money would be of great help since she temporarily cannot accept jobs and endorsement while on her Binibining Pilipinas stint.
“Mam Karen, God bless you more po at malaking tulong po eto para sa aking pamilya at ibibigay ko po eto kay Nanay Bireng at Tatay Oreng ko. Salamat ng Marami ?Dahil (three months) ako bawal mag tanggap ng trabaho at endorsement sa policy ng Binibining Pilipinas.
“Kaya umaasa nalang din ako ng income sa Youtube channel ko sa pag pa vlog!,” said Herlene who launched her Youtube channel in 2020 and currently has 1.8 million subscribers on the platform.
Herlene was announced as an official candidate of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas last Friday, April 22, 2022.
