Netizens asked fans to give volleyball star Deanna Wong and her family privacy after a bunch of supporters flocked to her house in her hometown in Minglanilla, Cebu.
In a Facebook post on Good Friday, Deanna’s mother Judin Alvizo-Wong shared a video of fans waiting outside their gate to have a glimpse of her daughter.
Deanna’s mom expressed worry as they could not even go out to church with some of the crowd already outside their home as early as six in the morning.
“Unsaon namug gawas pag adto sa simbahan kung ing ani kadaghan nag atang pirmi sa gate? Ang uban gikan pag mindanao ug other parts of the visayas.. uban alas sais pa sa buntag (How can we go out to church if these many people are waiting outside our gate. Others even came from Mindanao and other parts of Visayas since 6 a.m.,” said Deanna’s mom in Cebuano.
Deanna, still, briefly waved at her fans who had their phone cameras up and cheered at the sight of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans setter.
Concerned fans of Deanna, meanwhile, took to social media to plead with others to respect her privacy and time with her family with #PrivacyForWongFamily on top of Twitter’s trending topic on Saturday.
