AJ Raval laughed off her recent live performance at a free concert in Cebu which went viral online as netizens trolled her for singing off-key.
The sexy actress graced the Arat na Cebu concert held at Cebu City Sports Center last March 26, where she sang Pussycat Dolls’ Stick With U and Paramore’s That’s What You Get to a massive crowd.
Videos of AJ’s performance made rounds online with netizens poking fun at her videoke-like singing.
AJ didn’t seem to mind at all, saying she’s used to being teased by her family members at home for her out of tune voice.
“Yung pagkanta ko doon wala lang, natatawa din ako sarili ko, kasi ano namin ‘yun eh, like kunwari ito ‘pag uwi ko pinagtitripan din ako ng mga kapatid ko, ng tatay ko, ng family ko,” shares AJ in an interview with showbiz reporter MJ Marfori.
She continued, “Kasi parang ‘yun yung nagiging fun sa bahay kapag may mga event kami sa bahay kakanta ako tapos parang wala ako sa tono nakakatawa siya para sa family and then ganun nga rin yung nangyari sa Cebu so parang fun fun lang din para sakin ‘yun”.
AJ, meanwhile, clarified that singing out of tune in her Cebu performance wasn’t intended.
“First time ko kasing sumalang sa stage… Kaya ‘yung pressure ko nandun din. Marunong naman ako kumanta pero na-pressure din talaga ako ng sobra dun sa stage tapos inenjoy ko na lang, bahala na kung anong kalabasan,” she explained.
Aj added that she saw the jokes coming after she finished her perfromance : “Pagbaba ko ng stage sa backstage alam ko na magtetrend na naman yung performance ko pagtitripan ng mga tao.”
The 21-year-old, nevertheless, said she is grateful for the overwhelming love and support from the crowd.
“Masaya, na-overwhelmed ako sa mga nakita ko, kung pano ako tanggapapin ng mga tao, kung pano nila akong mahalin lalo na sa Cebu alam niyo yung kahit wala talaga ako sa tono kumanta kahit palpak, yung support nila andun pa rin sigawan pa rin sila sobrang vibe pa rin nila.
