Meg Imperial has denied being involved in the supposed marital woes of Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana.
The actress, who is Tom’s leading lady in the film The Last Five Years that premiered last March 4, shut down rumors romantically linking her to the actor.
In a recent interview, Meg slammed false videos online tagging her as the alleged third party in the alleged breakup of Tom and Carla.
“Wala pa man akong interviews. I have seen a lot on YouTube and saan galing yung mga video? Nagtataka talaga ako,” she said.
The 29-year-old added that she’s been promoting the film solo since she’s aware that Tom is going through something and does not want to interfere with his privacy.
“Naintindihan ko naman kung ano yung pinagdadaanan nila. Ako na muna yung ano, I love this film also, so wala naman sakin kung i-promote ko ito,” said Meg.
She added, “I have been friends with them, pareho, constant naman yung communication with both of them since they are both part nung platform that I have mentioned to you before, so doon lang yung naging focus ko.”
Carla and Tom have been mum on the issue, but the actress’ cryptic posts have been making their fans speculate on the reason behind their split.
Recently, Carla liked a netizen’s comment under Tom’s Instagram post insinuating that the actor is a “cheater”.
Carla also went on another liking spree after she reacted to netizens comments crriticizing Tom such as “natiis at iniwan mo ang asawa mo“, “Guapo nga, di naman honest”, among others.
Tom has since deactivated his comments section on his recent posts.
Carla and Tom tied the knot in October last year.
