The Kissing Booth star Joey King is now engaged to producer-director boyfriend Steven Piet.
The 22-year-old American actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that she’s tying the knot soon with her boyfriend of almost three years.
“I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy,” Joey lovingly wrote in the caption alongside sweet photos of them together.
Joey also cheekily showed her engagement ring to the camera in another photo.
She continued, “I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you.”
Joey went on to reveal the special day she said yes to forever with her fiancé who made her the “luckiest lady alive”.
“The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive. I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever sounds like a real dream, so let’s do it,” said Joey.
Steven, for his part, talked about the “perfectly imperfect weather” on the day he asked “my best friend to spend a lifetime together.”
“You’ve unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed,” Steven told Joey.
The couple, who made their romance public in 2019, first met on the set of Hulu’s true crime drama limited series The Act where Joey played Gypsy Rose Blanchard, while Steven helmed the show.
