AJ Raval revealed her current relationship status with rumored boyfriend Aljur Abrenica and addressed criticisms against them.
In a recent Q and A session via Instagram stories, the actress said she has yet to update her fans if she and Aljur are officially a couple, after a netizen asked about the real score between them.
“Sobrang cool lang kami ni Aljur. Masaya kami sa mga situations namin. May mga priorities at problema na dapat unahin,” said AJ.
“‘Wag ka mag-alala kapag official na updated ka,” she added.
The 21-year-old then shared her thoughts after another Instagram user alleged that her relationship with Aljur has put her in a bad light.
“Hindi naman sa akin importante yung opinyon ng ibang tao importante yung opinyon ng malapit na tao sa akin,” AJ stated.
She continued, “Sana makita niyo si Aljur kung paano ko siya makita. Napakabuti ng puso ng taong yun. Kung paano niya mahalin yung anak niya yung pamilya niya, kung paano siya tumingin sa mga tao, pantay-pantay.”
In a subsequent Instagram story, AJ admitted that she was once affected by the criticisms thrown at her but has gotten over it and couldn’t care less about what others think of her.
“Di ka ba natatakot sa sasabihin ng iba sayo?,” asked an Instagram user.
AJ responded, “Hindi. bakit ako matatakot? Mas natatakot maging sunud-sunuran sa ibang tao. Basta ako magiging masaya, magiging totoo, kung magustuhan niyo edi salamat, kung hindi wala akong pake.
“Nung una naaapektuhan ako pero wala na naka-move on na ko dun. Wala na akong pake. Masaya ako gagawin ko gusto ko, buhay ko to,” she added.
AJ and Aljur, who were co-stars in the Viva film Nerisa, were first romantically linked last year, after photos of them holding hands while walking at a mall circulated online.
At the time, AJ revealed that Aljur is courting her and they were on a “getting to know” stage.
The dating rumors came months after Aljur’s split with Kylie Padilla whom he has two kids with.
In October 2021, Kylie pleaded with netizens to not involve other parties into their breakup, after allegations that AJ was the third party in their marriage.
Kylie also recently seemed to show support AJ and Aljur’s relationship after she liked a supposed kilig video of the two by the beach.
