Claudine Barretto has deleted her Instagram post featuring a love letter that she said came from her late ex-boyfriend Rico Yan.
On Tuesday, Claudine flashed back to the onset of her romantic relationship with the matinee idol by sharing a handwritten note of him in 1998, and dedicated it to their fans.
In the letter, Rico told Claudine that “You are the best thing that happened in my life”, and thanked her for being his rock.
While fans felt kilig over the throwback love letter, it also received comments from some netizens who questioned its authenticity.
Others claimed that the penmanship resembled Claudine’s while others said that the letter looks new.
Claudine, nevertheless, convinced fans that it was Rico who wrote the letter.
The love letter, however, has become unavailable on Claudine’s Instagram page on Thursday.
