Claudine Barretto made certain that the love letter she recently posted on social media was from her late ex-boyfriend Rico Yan.
The 41-year-old actress on Tuesday relived her memories with Rico by sharing the letter she received from him back in 1998.
Netizens, however, doubted the authenticity of the handwritten note, pointing out that it seems to have her penmanship instead of Rico. Others also noted that the letter appeared to be brand-new.
A netizen in the comments section asked: “Aww, did RY wrote this po ba?,” to which Claudine responded in the affirmative.
“No hate po, I am a big fan of (your) loveteam but just wanna ask if did write this and pinost or kinopy n’yo lang. Much love po @claubarretto,” wrote by another netizen.
The actress, meanwhile commented: “Not my writing po.” She also explained in a separate comment that she uses Assumption handwriting.
Claudine and Rico were in a relationship for four years, before they called it quits in 2002.
