Gladys Reyes is mourning the death of her father who succumbed to multiple organ failure.
The actress on Monday took to Instagram to announce her father Sonyer’s passing with a throwback video of them singing along to the song The Way It Used To Be by Engelbert Humperdinck.
“Magkikita tayo muli sa bayang banal, Pa ❤,” Gladys wrote in the caption.
“Thank you Pa, I will always be a Papa’s girl! Mission accomplished,” she added.
Gladys related that her father died of multiple organ failure, affecting his heart, lungs and kidney, but tested negative for COVID-19.
“Thank God, nag-negative siya for COVID. Pero unfortunately, hindi na kinaya ng papa ko. Pagod na siya. At least, we’ll get to say a proper goodbye sa kanya,” shared Gladys in an Instagram story showing the place where his father’s wake is being held.
Last January, Gladys’ father was brought to the hospital after suffering from a heart attack.
Fellow celebrities, meanwhile, offered their condolences to Gladys and her family in the comments section.
