Singer and online sensation Gigi de Lana is Gerald Anderson’s newest leading lady for an international project.
Star Creatives, ABS-CBN’s television unit, recently announced that the two will star in the romantic comedy series titled Hello, Heart.
Hello Heart, which will be produced under ABS-CBN’s partnership with global streaming app iQiyi, is one of the two original Filipino series on the platform.
The series follows the story of Heart (Gigi), who will pretend to be Saul’s (Gerald) wife to please his grandmother with dementia.
In an interview, Gigi shared her reaction about starring as a leading lady for the first time.
“Excited ako at masaya ako dahil pangarap din siya ng nanay ko. Gusto niya ako mag-artista. Ako, singer lang talaga,” Gigi was quoted as saying in an ABS-CBN report.
The musician also shared that she’s preparing herself for her tandem with Gerald.
She said, “Siyempre kailangan ko maging ready kasi si Gerald parang ready na siya sa lahat kasi matagal na niyang ginagawa ‘tong pag-arte.
“Kailangan ko talagang maging ready para ‘yung batuhan namin ng lines mas maayos and mas hindi siya awkward.
“Napakabait na tao, very profesional siya sa trabaho niya,” Gigi described the Kapamilya actor.
