Engaged couple Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay’s respective sons, baby Elias and Austin, are getting along really well.
In a recent Instagram story, Ellen shared a clip of Austin playing with her toddler Elias at home.
Ellen endearingly called both Elias and Austin “baby,” which made the latter laugh.
Baby Elias is Ellen’s child with former partner John Lloyd Cruz while Austin is Derek’s 17-year-old son with ex-wife Mary Christine Jolly.
In a previous virtual interview with writer G3 San Diego, Derek said that Austin was one of the first persons he talked to before proposing to Ellen in late March.
“My son told me he thinks it would be really cool if he had a younger brother. He really adores Ellen. He thinks she’s cool. He said, ‘I want you to be happy,'” said Derek.
Derek also related that Austin promised to call him “dad” when he would get engaged.
“Ellen’s energy and presence (have) really turned my world around, everything has really fallen into place. The thing I’ve been praying for the most is for my son to call me ‘dad’ and that happened like the day after the whole proposal. My son told me the other day, he promised to call me dad when he sees me getting engaged.”
A video of their emotional heart-to-heart talk was caught on cam which was shared by Derek on Instagram last April.
